A motorcyclist is killed in an accident in south Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident near Haven Street and Mesa Verde Lane in south Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the crash involving a car and a motorcycle around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, the motorcyclist was hit by a car at the intersection. The motorcyclist was then transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and showed signs of impairment.

The intersection remains closed while police investigate the accident.
