New Jersey singer Halsey, the “Great Impersonator,” dressed up as 18 icons. Check out the look.

One day she was Dolly Parton. Next up, PJ Harvey.

She was also Cher, Aaliyah, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen.

On Thursday: Marilyn Monroe.

New Jersey singer Halsey, known for her chameleon-like makeup and style, has shown off her transformation skills ahead of the release of her fifth album, “The Great Impersonator,” out Thursday night.

Halsey, 30, née Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, grew up in various Jersey towns, including Clark and Franklin, and is a graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington Township, Warren County. Her new album is a journey through the sounds of different decades – or what Halsey would have sounded like if she had become a pop star back then.

The singer embraced the spirit of the Halloween season by dressing up and posing as various famous faces from music and Hollywood. She often does her own makeup (she has her own makeup line) and did so during these transformations.

With the album still an hour away from release and now officially done with her series of impersonations, here's a rundown of all the looks Halsey has shared on Instagram over the past few weeks. Below you'll find them in order with a complete list (original photos of celebrities she copies can be found in the next slides), including comments from the singer about various artists who inspired the songs on the album.

1. Dolly Parton

2. PJ Harvey, “one of the most influential artists of my life.”

3. Kate Bush

4. Cher: “Undisputed queen. One of my favorite Cher songs, “Dark Lady,” was a number one hit in 1974. Even today he is still number 1 in my heart.”

5. David Bowie, “Ziggy Stardust, The Starman, The Thin White Duke, The Picasso of Pop, Major Tom, The Master of Reinvention and The Chameleon of Rock…”

6. Amy Lee of Evanescence, “my OG dark rock queen.”

7. Dolores O'Riordan from “The Cranberries”: “There's no major transformation needed here since I was basically born as Dolores' long-lost daughter, but I couldn't do the show without honoring this incredible woman.”

8. Stevie Nicks, “the mystical Madame herself… There were so many looks to choose from, but I HAD to go with that magical ballerina from Rumors. This pose was NOT easy to do while controlling the tulle! As we know, Stevie is made of magic.”

9. Bruce Springsteen: “The best of New Jersey…that needs no explanation, I'm a Jersey girl :).”

10. Linda Ronstadt: “A tribute to her endless versatility, a true chameleon.”

11. Britney Spears: “The first superstar who ever inspired me. There were endless Britney looks to choose from, but I had to make this iconic album!”

12. Halsey himself: “The new album takes place across decades, so I think it's only right to honor the album I wrote a decade ago… Badlands Halsey, circa 2015.”

13. Aaliyah, “Queen Baby Girl” – On Halsey's song “Letter to God”: “I layered this song with my son's singing when he was a baby, inspired by (Aaliyah's) 'Are You That Somebody'.”

14. Joni Mitchell, “my favorite lyricist of all time… I saw Joni at the Bowl last night and it was one of the greatest privileges of my life.”

15. Fiona Apple, “Major Inspiration for My Entire Life.”

16. Tori Amos: “I grew up with Tori and always considered her to be in a class of her own. This song (“Life of the Spider”), the most personal on the album, is just about me and my piano. Because that’s all Tori ever needed to rip your heart into pieces.”

17. Björk: “My first album with a title track. Influenced by the coolest, most ethereal being that ever existed.”

18. Marilyn Monroe, “the most impersonated woman in history.” A woman who ended up having to pretend to be herself day after day; asking the question: 'Do you want to see me become her?'”
