Justin Jefferson: I have to get over that 100-yard hump

Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is currently in uncharted territory.

Jefferson has averaged between 81 and 92 receiving yards in each of the last four games. This marks the first time in his NFL career that he has failed to reach 100 receiving yards through four games despite being fully healthy. Jefferson went four games without 100 yards last season, but injured his hamstring in the second game and missed seven games before playing 13 snaps in his comeback.

The Vikings have won three of those games and Jefferson has scored touchdowns in three of the four, but Jefferson would still like to see this streak end.

“I definitely am to be fed up “Those 80-, 90-yard plays,” Jefferson said, via Dave Campbell of the Associated Press. “I really need to get over that 100-yard hump. That’s definitely my plan.”

Jefferson said he sees plays that are possible all over the field and that there will be “one of those games where we'll show the world what we're really capable of” when it comes to offense. Coming into Thursday night against the Rams, the Vikings should start Week 8 at 6-1.
