Insider reveals official colors of the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S24 was hacked at Pwn2Own Ireland 2024. Samsung's latest flagship phones come with top-notch security solutions. However, an elite hacker used various bugs to hack the smartphone.

At Pwn2Own 2024, NCC Group's Ken Gannon used five different bugs, including a path traversal, to obtain a shell and install an app on the Galaxy S24. The successful execution earned him a whopping $50,000 and 5 Master of Pwn points.

On October 23, Ken Gannon exploited five vulnerabilities to compromise an S24 device by gaining shell access and installing an arbitrary application. We've also heard confirmed security flaws in previous, older Samsung phones.

Pwn2Own is a hacker-specific event that takes place twice a year. It is one of the best platforms for ethical hackers to win huge bounties for executing suspicious codes or compromising the security and privacy of a mobile phone.

The hacker who compromised the Galaxy S24's security will keep the details of the flaw secret for a period of 90 days. It is only shared with Samsung and the Pwn2Own organizers of the Trend Micro Zero-Day Initiative.

Consider whether this error may have been discovered by a spy or hacker. Your phone's data and privacy could be at risk even without any signs. Pwn2Own is a cool competition that rewards hackers thousands of dollars and increases security.

In fact, many Galaxy phones have been rendered unsafe during Pwn2Own competitions. The company has no problem giving away its flagship devices for security checks. Ultimately, it benefits Galaxy users as these flaws will now be addressed in future OTAs.
