North Gaza: Israeli forces storm hospital after bombing it, killing children

Israeli forces stormed the last operational hospital in the besieged northern Gaza Strip on Friday after bombing it and killing children inside, according to doctors and media reports.

The attack on Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northwest of Jabalia, occurred around 2 a.m. local time, shortly after a WHO delegation left the hospital.

It began with airstrikes on the hospital and its courtyards, including on the medical oxygen generator, Dr. Munir al-Bursh, the director general of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The bombing resulted in the deaths of children in the hospital and injuries to medical staff.

Around two hours later, Israeli troops raided the hospital and called on all patients, including intensive care patients, to gather in the courtyard.

According to the hospital's nursing director, they attacked everyone inside.

Inside there were 150 patients and wounded and 250 medical personnel, he added.

“What is happening in the hospital is a crime and genocide against the Palestinian people,” he said.
