Naked and Afraid alum Sarah Danser dies at 34

Naked and afraid alum Sarah Danser died on Sunday, October 20, at the age of 34, after a car accident in Kahala, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Local news outlet KSLA reports, citing Honolulu police, that Danser died on Tuesday, October 22, after being involved in a car accident. Danser was a passenger in a vehicle driven eastbound by a 59-year-old man who lost control of the car and crashed into a parked vehicle, police said.

Danser was hospitalized in critical condition and died from her injuries two days later.

The driver of the car was also hospitalized in serious condition, according to the news agency. Authorities said speed appeared to be the cause of the crash, not drugs or alcohol.

Danser appeared on a reality show for the first time Naked and afraid in 2017 during the eighth season and returned in the 11th season. She also took part in seasons 4, 6 and 7 of the spin-off show Naked and afraid XL. Last year Danser appeared on another reality show, Fight for survivalwhich aired on The CW.

The survivalist's brother, Jake Dansertold KSLA: “Magical is the way to describe her. Sarah had this positive energy about her that really filled the environment she was in.”

“I have actually seen what a huge difference she has made in the lives of others. I think she saved my life once when she was diving in Indonesia,” said Danser’s father. Dan Dansersaid the outlet.

“She was smart. She went underwater. She found food, slugs and the like. “She knew what she had to do to survive and she did it great,” added Danser’s friend Tim Mason.

Danser's employer, Island Divers Hawaii, paid tribute to the reality star on Thursday, October 24, via Facebook. “It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a good friend and great captain. Sarah brought such great energy to everyone she came into contact with. “We will miss you greatly,” the organization said in a statement.
