2 men arrested for posing as rideshare drivers and robbing patrons leaving Miami Beach club – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

MIAMI BEACH, FL. (WSVN) – Two men were arrested for posing as rideshare drivers and committing multiple robberies in Miami Beach.

According to police, Fevry Gentillon and Kerbert Jean targeted drunken patrons leaving the Twist club near Washington and 11th, just yards from Miami Beach police headquarters.

After picking up the unsuspecting victims, the two men allegedly robbed them at gunpoint.

The duo was arrested yesterday. Both face multiple charges, including armed robbery, kidnapping and credit card fraud.

This isn't the only car service scam being driven on the beach and elsewhere in Miami.

Earlier this year, Alejandro Yadir Gongora and Estalin Maurad-Avecillas were accused of working together as fake rideshare drivers, luring women into their cars in order to rob and attack them.

Gongora and Maurad-Avecillas were arrested and remain behind bars.

Now two more accused fraudsters are locked up and off the streets.

According to officials, several people came forward and submitted similar reports to investigators. They discovered that the duo were working together to target nightclubbers in the entertainment district.

The duo is expected to appear before a judge on Friday.

Police are asking any possible victims to come forward.
