Woman slaps Telugu actor NT Ramaswamy for his villainous role in Love Reddy

Telugu actor NT Ramaswamy was unexpectedly attacked by a woman audience member during the screening of his latest film. Dear Reddy. The actor, who plays the role of an antagonist in the film, attended the screening in Hyderabad with his co-stars. While the cast was interacting with fans and thanking them for their support, NT Ramaswamy was attacked by a woman. The woman grabbed him by the collar and slapped him, apparently annoyed by his on-screen role. The current video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.

The clip begins with a scene from Dear Reddyin which NT Ramaswamy's character hits himself on the head with a stone and then hits his on-screen daughter with a stone and disowns her. Then comes the moment when the film's actors greet the audience in a cinema and NT Ramaswamy is attacked by a woman. The female fan grabs him by the collar and punches him in the face. She then asks him why he decided to “worry the main couple” while the other actors remind her that it's just a movie. NT Ramaswamy looks shaken by the encounter.

Theater security and cast members, including actors Anjan Ramachandra and Shravani Krishnaveni, intervened to protect NT Ramaswamy. Security forces then took the fan out of the building.

Director: Smaran Reddy, Dear Reddy explores a different take on a classic love story. The focus of the film is the main character Narayana Reddy, who gets entangled in a web of emotions. NT Ramaswamy plays an important role in the film. His character brings twists and turns in the lives of the main couple. Dear Reddy is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film was released in theaters on October 18th.

Telugu actor NT Ramaswamy is known for his work in films like Saara Vajra (2022) with Anu Prabhakar. He has also appeared in the popular Telugu television series Muddulakshmi (2018-23).
