Honda Civic due to a viral insurance scam attempt was found on the road and destroyed

The viral Attempted insurance fraud What happened on a New York highway earlier this month brought an unlikely turning point to the situation. The Honda Civic Coupe used in the attempted fraud accident has been spotted multiple times by social media users, who found that others have even resorted to vandalizing the car.

To recap in case you're not up to date: TikTok user Ashpia Natasha shared dashcam footage of insurance fraudsters in the Civic trying to trick them into hitting them in traffic by slamming on the brakes on the Southern State Parkway in New York. When Natasha successfully braked and avoided an accident, the fraudsters put their Civic in reverse and backed into her, hoping to make it appear as if she was the one who caused the accident. Several people got out of the car injured, with the driver of the car changing places before getting out to make it appear as if one of the passengers had been the one driving, and another passenger jumped into a Kia Sportage, the Natasha to create followed was distance behind her. In the video, you can see how one of the people in the Civic notices Natasha's dashcam after getting out of the car and changes his behavior. She mentions that they quickly got her insurance information before heading out. She has not provided any updates on the situation since the incident.

Despite the lack of an update, eagle-eyed people on social media have spotted the Civic in various locations around New York, and given its role in the bullshit scam that has been viewed tens of millions of times, it's no surprise that the car was vandalized by people . In a TikTok posted by @thewild3435They initially found the car parked on the street untouched on October 21st. In subsequent TikToks from October 22nd and 23rd, we can see a piece of cardboard with the word “fraud” on it lying on the windshield, the driver's side window was broken, and what looked like a boba tea cup was in it Driver's window door handle stuffed, and the back window was covered with another piece of cardboard with the word “rats” painted on it.

Another Tik Tok posted by @pretty_virgo28 from the same day shows the same vandalized Civic parked in front of an NYPD precinct; @thewild3435 too I discovered the Civic in this area. The pieces of cardboard in the front and back are gone, but the boba cup in the door remains. There is also a large piece of plastic hanging from the driver's door, which was probably used to cover the broken window. What was the car doing at the police station? It would be a wild twist to this story if the owners were there and reported the vandalism to a car that was used in an attempted insurance fraud.

Wanting to know more, I called the NYPD station near where the car was spotted and asked an officer if anyone had reported the vandalism to the car. I was told, “Would someone have been at the station to report something like this.”

Spanish TikTok was also busy spotting the Civic. A TikTok posted by @willdtb shows him talking about another video where users discovered the Civic; He explains that he wants to create another Spanish account to receive updates that he might miss because he doesn't know Spanish. Another Spanish TikTok from October 24 shows the same Civic parked in a different parking lot and uses the hashtag #whereistheredkia – a reference to the red Sportage that chased Natasha during the accident and picked up one of the Civic's passengers after the accident.

It turns out that this is not the first time these scammers have tried to pull off this insurance trick. In an Instagram post by @coronavirusnyIn his dashcam video, another Civic – this time an eighth-generation Civic sedan – can be seen doing the same thing that was done to Natasha: the Civic cuts in front of the vehicle before hitting the brakes, resulting in it causes the victim to drive backwards. Three people get out and pretend to be injured, and if you look closely, the same red Kia Sportage in front of the “accident” pulls over to get a fourth person out of the car. In the description of the video, the unidentified victim states that his insurance company is investigating the incident.

Whoever these people are, they must be stopped. We do not advocate vandalism of anyone's car for any reason, but in this case we completely understand.
