One was arrested after a shooting in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – On Sunday, officers with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, along with Jackson County Fire Rescue, responded to reports of a shooting in Jacob. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that a person had been shot.

During the investigation, officers said they learned the conflict was part of an ongoing dispute in Graceville.

We're told one of those involved, Reginald Williams, is on state probation and is a convicted felon.

On Wednesday, JSCO, with the help of the Graceville Police Department, assisted the state Probation and Parole Department in conducting a search at Williams' home.

A black semi-automatic handgun was reportedly found during the search.

Williams was arrested and faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
