Fentanyl pills seized in Waterbury drug raid

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) – Three people have been arrested as part of a drug bust in Waterbury.

Investigators identified the suspects as 33-year-old Dazown Mills, 28-year-old Troy Crawford and 31-year-old Marquell Jones.

Police said they conducted a narcotics investigation in the area of ​​Bronson and Bishop streets on Thursday.

They said the area is the subject of a number of drug-related complaints.

They ended up seizing 40 narcotics pills, several of which contained fentanyl.

Police said they also seized $282 in cash and crack cocaine.

Mills was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogenic substances with intent to sell, possession of controlled substances with intent to sell and tampering with evidence. He was held on $75,000 bail and was due in court Friday.

Crawford was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of hallucinogenic substances with intent to sell, possession of controlled substances with intent to sell and obstructing an officer. He was released on a promise to appear and was scheduled to be arraigned on November 5th. Police said he has a lengthy criminal record including assault and failure to appear. It was also discovered that there was a valid arrest warrant against him for violating probation.

Jones was charged with possession of hallucinogenic substances with intent to sell and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He posted $20,000 bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 5. Police said Jones has numerous arrests and convictions for drug offenses in the past.
