Jack White plays surprise rave shows at the Cactus Club in Milwaukee

play

Jack White just can't get enough of Wisconsin.

The rock star played a surprise show at the High Noon Saloon in Madison on Thursday in front of 200 to 300 people. He then played an unannounced show at The Vanguard as part of Bay View Bar and Grill's 10th anniversary celebrations.

And now he'll be playing two of his favorite places in Milwaukee on Friday and Saturday.

Friday night he will play the tiny Cactus Club — the first venue in Milwaukee where he played with the White Stripes more than 20 years ago — to support the club's efforts to make the building more accessible. Tickets are $175.

Then on Saturday, White will play to just a few hundred people at one of his favorite Milwaukee hangouts, the Rave.

White typically plays in the rave's largest room, the 3,500-person capacity Eagles Ballroom. But for the surprise concert on Saturday he will play in the one-story club “Rave II” in the basement, which only holds a few hundred people.

The Milwaukee concerts are part of an ongoing series of surprise concerts White has performed at smaller venues in support of his latest album, “No Name.”
