Waterloo Regional Police investigate a child pornography incident resulting in an arrest

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police arrested a Kitchener man following a child pornography investigation.

In October 2024, the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation Unit conducted an investigation involving child pornography.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, on October 25, 2024, police arrested a 42-year-old Kitchener man and charged him with one count of providing access to child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

The man was held for a bail hearing.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. This project was made possible by a grant from the Department of the Attorney General.
