Woman takes car back by driving car through tow fence – Tamarac TalkThis is a summary of crime events in Tamarac through October 21, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff's Office to provide residents with up-to-date information.

Burglary

On October 15, 2024, a victim of a burglary was reported.

A victim of a residential burglary was reported on October 16, 2024. The person was arrested for burglary and assault.

A victim of a residential burglary was reported on October 17, 2024. The total estimated loss was $100. The victim informed him that an unknown man had entered his patio area and stolen his bicycle.

On October 17, 2024, a victim of a burglary was reported. The total estimated loss was $200. A break-in was reported involving two vehicles parked behind the barbershop.

On October 19, 2024, a victim of a burglary was reported. The total estimated loss was $2,580. A vehicle was broken into and several iPhones, cash and a PlayStation 5 were stolen.

Criminal mischief

Tow Max Towing was the victim of criminal mischief on NW 49 Street reported on 10/15/2024. The person in question drove his vehicle through a gate at the tow yard to get out without paying, damaging the tow yard in the process.

Lost property

A lost property victim was reported on October 15, 2024. The victim reported items missing, including a New York police identification card.

attack

On October 15, 2024, a victim of serious bodily harm was reported. Serious assault and domestic violence occurred in the apartment.

battery

On 10/16/2024 a battery victim was reported on NW 72 Avenue.

A victim of battery was reported on October 16, 2024. The complainant said that they had been abused and threatened by an unknown man.

theft

Publix was the victim of a Theft – Retail/Shoplifting on N University Drive reported on 10/16/2024. Two unknown individuals stole alcohol from the Publix liquor store.

A car theft victim was reported on October 18, 2024. The victim said the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of his home.

One Theft Victim – All Others were reported on October 19, 2024. The total estimated loss was $349. It was reported that a stolen firearm and narcotics were arrested.

Shoot

The Company was the victim of a shooting/wrongful discharge at Southampton Terrace reported on 10/16/2024. A man reported a bullet hole in his bedroom window.

Fraud

A victim of a fraud – credit card/ATM – was reported on 10/19/2024. The total estimated loss was $45. Fraudulent charges were made to a credit card at a nail salon.

Fire

On 10/20/2024 a fire was reported on N State Road 7. A vehicle caught fire in the gas station parking lot.

Arrests

Catarcio, Anthony Todd, 33, was arrested on 10/15/2024 for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Domestic Violence.

Duter, Ismeal Gerardo, 26, was cited on 10/18/2024 for failure to stop and stalling in a non-serious injury accident at N Pine Island & Commercial Blvd. arrested.

Fields, Craivon, 19, was arrested on October 19, 2024 for theft and grand theft of a firearm.

Garcia, Shirley, 41, was arrested on 10/20/2024 on charges of Touching or Hitting/Assault/Domestic Violence.
