Maren Morris and ex-husband Ryan Hurd They're all taking the music world by storm and releasing their own new single on Friday, October 25th.

Morris, 34, released “People Still Show Up.” Announcing the title on Instagram, she coyly wrote: “Someone change the subject…”🧡.”

With lyrics like “Life has pushed you so deep but people still show up” and “Why is it that when the world is ending and you didn't have a friend, it's the friends that you are.” “Never think about calling who all arrive in a pickup truck,” the song seems to be a tribute to friends who support us during difficult times in life.

For his part, Hurd, 37, released “This Party Sucks” on Friday.

“New home and new music. “This Party Sucks is awesome Friday on Big Machine Records,” Hurd wrote via Instagram earlier this week. “Give me a high five in the comments if you’re as excited as I am. 🍻.”

In the new release, Hurd sings about rocking out to the kind of party he used to enjoy, but now he just wishes he was somewhere else with a lover.

“I'm trying to figure out how long we have to stay. I used to love this shit, but now I hate champagne,” he sings in one part, while other lyrics say, “Baby, come save me from this small talk conversation.” I don't think about anything but you and I escape.”

The two singers met during a songwriting session in 2014 and tied the knot four years later. Morris filed for divorce in October 2023 after five years of marriage, which was finalized in January. Since then, she and Hurd have continued to support the peaceful upbringing of their three-year-old son, Hayes.

“The co-parenting thing went well,” Morris said during a September appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast. “We’re doing our best this way, but it’s still pretty fresh.”

Morris has also started to re-enter the dating scene after coming out as bisexual this summer.

“[I’m dating] a little bit,” Morris said during an appearance on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast last month. “I mean, I've never really dated anyone. For example, I had two long monogamous relationships with men and never really had that dating phase because I was just always working [and] I ended up having long-lasting relationships with people I worked with or was close to.”

She added at the time: “Being together for the first time at 30 is wild and [joining app] Raya is wild. I’ve had some good experiences with it and fortunately nothing crazy that caused trauma.”
