Matthew Perry's mother believes he knew something was coming before he died

Matthew Perry's mother, Suzanne MorrisonShe believes her son felt something was wrong shortly before his death last October.

The matriarch recently appeared on the Today show as part of an upcoming special scheduled to air on the anniversary of Perry's tragic death (October 28) to address the threatening conversations they had leading up to that fatal day.

“Interestingly, he went through a period shortly before his death when he showed me one of his new houses. He came up to me and said, 'I love you so much and I'm so happy about it.' with you now.' … It was almost like it was a premonition or something.”

Morrison didn't think about the conversation at first, but later thought, “How long has it been since we last had a conversation like this?” It’s been years.”

She continued:

“I think there was something there. There was an inevitability of what was about to happen next to him and he felt it very strongly. But he said, 'I'm not afraid anymore,' and it worried me.”

The Friends Alum passed away on October 28, 2023 at his home in Los Angeles due to the acute effects of ketamine and other health factors. He was 54 years old.
