Trial scheduled for Brown County drug smuggling suspect

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The alleged leader of a drug trafficking organization busted in Brown County will go on trial next March.

Felton Currie, 46, faces nearly 30 charges, including manufacturing and possessing with intent to supply numerous drugs and maintaining a drug smuggling business.

During a court hearing on Friday, the trial was scheduled to begin on March 24, 2025 and lasted six days.

Currie and six other suspects were arrested Wisconsin's largest fentanyl bust after a months-long investigation by local and federal law enforcement.

All seven of the defendants' cases were kept under seal.
