Chicago train crash: At least 1 injured after CTA train crashes into forklift at Western Brown Line station on north side: CFD

CHICAGO (WLS) – At least one person was taken to a hospital after a CTA train collided with a forklift on the city's north side Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred near the Western Brown Line station, officials said.

A CTA Brown Line train collided with a forklift at the site, Chicago Fire Department officials said. The cause of the crash was initially unknown.

One patient was transported to a local hospital as a result of the accident, CFD said.

Brown Line trains were stopped at the West Station due to a “track condition,” CTA officials said.
