Georgia man arrested in McLennan County for online solicitation of minor charges

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A Georgia man was arrested Thursday after authorities said he planned to meet a young girl near her bus stop and have sex with her before school.

Aron Alexander Cyprian, 25, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, remained jailed on a $10,000 bond Friday after being arrested by McLennan County Sheriff's Office deputies on a minor charge of second-degree felony internet .

According to an affidavit, a “concerned neighbor” reported Wednesday that a young girl was “almost picked up” by a man in a suspicious white vehicle near a school bus stop on Silver River Road in Gholson.

The man in the car, wearing a shirt with stars on the chest, told the “concerned neighbor” that his car had broken down and he was waiting for a car wreck, arrest documents say.

A few minutes later, the bus driver who had stopped to pick up the girl saw the white vehicle's flashing lights, which officers described in the affidavit as an attempt to get the girl's attention.

The bus driver, who asked the girl to get on the bus, later reported the incident to the sheriff's office.

“During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the victim had been receiving social media messages from an unknown man, and the man convinced the victim to meet him before school to have sex,” the statement said affidavit. “During these conversations, the suspect provided a picture of a white Toyota Corolla and told the victim to look for that vehicle.”

Arrest documents do not list the girl's identity or her age.

A sheriff's office investigator met with the girl and her parents and took over the girl's social media accounts to continue chats with the suspect, the affidavit said.

“The suspect was upset about not being able to meet the victim the day before school, and the suspect suggested another meeting for Thursday (10/24/24) before school at 6:15 a.m. and even sent a card with one “Circle” indicating the area where he planned to meet and which was in close proximity to the bus stop incident the previous day,” the affidavit states.

Officers were conducting surveillance in the area Thursday and reported a white Toyota Corolla approaching at 6:10 a.m. Officers arrested Cyprian and reported that he was wearing the same shirt with stars on it as the day before.
