Leak of Israeli attack plans against Iran, letters

The problem: The leak of secret US documents describing an Israeli retaliatory strike against Iran.

The information released by the Biden-Harris administration about Israel's retaliatory plans against Iran is typical of President Biden's completely incompetent foreign policy (“Sabotaging an Ally,” editorial, October 22).

I am sure that the investigation will not produce any results. The government will hope it fades over time.
Most of the Biden apparatus is staffed by Obama holdovers who, for whatever incomprehensible reasons, have been advocating pro-Iranian appeasement policies for years. Biden inherited a world of peace and in just under four years set the world on fire through weakness and stupidity.

Certain top-secret US documents detailing Israel's preparations for a retaliatory strike against Iran have been published on Telegram.

Most of the coverage I've seen about this I found in the Post. Why is a shocking betrayal of a loyal ally unworthy of other media outlets?

Because I suspect this won't hurt former President Donald Trump's campaign and could be very damaging to the Biden-Harris administration. Surprise in October? Not quite, it's just Hunter's laptop: déjà vu again.

Instead of accusing Mayor Adams of being an agent of a foreign country, the Biden administration must immediately find and arrest the person who leaked top secret classified information

Israel's threat of retaliation against Iran by publishing the documents on Telegram.

Failure to find the perpetrator in time would confirm that our intelligence services have been infiltrated again.

There is a non-zero chance that the leak of classified documents on Israel's attack plan was an attempt to delay a retaliatory strike against Iran until after the November election.

Kudos to Sen. John Barrasso for summing up the Biden-Harris administration's failed appeasement policy toward Iran (“Answering Iran,” PostOpinion, Oct. 23).

Instead, Biden-Harris had officials like Ariane Tabatabai in high posts in our national security organizations and sympathizers like Rob Malley in our diplomatic corps.

Tabatabai was accused by some media outlets of possibly being the one who leaked Israel's attack plan, and Malley had to be fired for mishandling classified documents. We must return to a policy of peace through strength.

The leak proves that the Biden-Harris administration has completely lost control.

The problem: The possible parole of a murderer who fatally shot an NYPD police officer in the head in Brooklyn.

I sincerely hope that members of the parole board reflect on how much Officer Robert Venable suffered the night he was murdered by Francisco Rodriguez (“Daughter's Fury,” Oct. 20).

I also hope they think about how much his family has suffered since his death and how much more they will suffer if his murderer is released.

The concept of punishment and retribution for killing a police officer in a cold-blooded murder is no longer “fashionable.”

These days it seems like everyone is entitled to multiple chances, no matter the carnage they leave in their wake.
