Andrew Dudley | Family and friends are mourning Fuquay-Varina's father, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Holly Springs

FUQUAY-VARINA, NC (WTVD) – Outpouring of love and support has been shown to the family of 39-year-old Andrew Dudley, who died in a crash in Holly Springs on Thursday afternoon.

Police said it appeared another Fuquay-Varina man driving a 2021 Ford F250 pickup truck collided with Dudley's 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 southbound on NC 55. Emergency responders and several passers-by tried to help Dudley after the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are several tributes circulating, as well as an online fundraiser.

Dudley's fiancée Saundra Jeffers said the couple only got engaged in July this year and described their love story as one anyone could write a book about.

He was her Prince Charming. Together they have three children, but biologically Dudley only has one son named Jacob.

The couple was building their dream home in Benson and planned to move in November.

According to Jeffers, Dudley was a family man who loved the outdoors, traveling and spending time with people who loved him.

A family friend released this statement to Eyewitness News:

The Carolinas, and especially the water industry as a whole, suffered a major loss yesterday. Our friend and colleague Andrew Dudley has tragically passed away. He was a beloved fiancé, father, friend and co-worker, and his sudden death has left a void in the lives of everyone who knew him. Andrew was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, work ethic and integrity. He touched the lives of many people with his witty jokes and infectious smile. He had great love and respect for nature and spent as much time as possible with family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
