Dogs left outside for safety reasons – Coconut Creek Talk

This is a summary of crimes and arrests in Coconut Creek through October 21, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Coconut Creek Police Department to provide residents with up-to-date information.

Disturbance

A Victim of Disturbance – A juvenile disturbance was reported at Monarch High School on Wiles Road.

Property damage

On 10/15/2024, a property damage victim was reported on Johnson Road.

theft

CVS Pharmacy was the victim of a theft – retail/shoplifting on Lyons Road on 10/20/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,172.

On 10/16/2024 a victim of a theft was reported from the Broward College building located at 1000 Coconut Creek Blvd. The total estimated loss was $1,630. An iPad Pro and its case were also stolen.

On October 19, 2024, one victim of a theft – all others were reported at Applewood Village II on Carambola Circle S. The total estimated loss was $985.

Coconut Palm Club Apts has been the victim of a vehicle theft – another at the Coconut Palm Club on NW 55 Blvd reported on 10/16/2024. The total estimated loss was $500.

On October 15, 2024, a victim of a theft – All Others was reported at Casa Palma on N State Road 7. The total estimated loss was $127. A possible Amazon package theft was also reported.

On 10/20/2024 a vehicle theft victim – car was reported in Vista Verde on W Atlantic Blvd.

One Theft Victim – All Others were reported on October 15, 2024. A mail theft was reported.

On October 16, 2024, a victim of vehicle theft – car was reported in Hammock Estates.

On 10/19/2024 a vehicle theft victim – motorcycle was reported in Windsor on Lyons Road.

On 10/19/2024 a vehicle theft victim – car was reported at Sorbet on NW 61 Court.

Burglary

A burglary victim – South Creek residence on NW 4 Street was reported on 10/16/2024. The total estimated loss was $15,000.

Police assistance

On 10/18/2024 a victim was reported to the Police Assist-Other Agency at the W Sample Road/Florida Turnpike Ramp. Police assist BSO with man jumping into traffic – Bola Wrap was used successfully.

Fraud

On 10/18/2024 a Fraud-Wire/Computer victim was reported at Walmart on W Hillsboro Blvd. The total estimated loss was $980. The suspect used Western Union to make a fraudulent transfer.

Elder Abuse/Neglect

A victim of elder abuse/neglect was reported on October 19, 2024.

Animal complaint

On October 20, 2024, a victim was reported by Animal Complaint – Other in Regency Lakes at Pelican Manor. The dogs were left outside and taken for safekeeping.

Arrests

Vargasdeleon William Enrique, 49, was arrested on 10/15/2024 at 4800 Coconut Creek Parkway for driving with a suspended license.

Smith, Heather Ray, 54, arrested on 10/15/2024 at 4700 Coconut Creek Parkway on a charge of Resisting/Obstructing without violence.

Hauselt, Robert Anthony, 39, was arrested on 10/16/2024 for burglary of an unoccupied dwelling at 4030 NW 4th Street.

Moore, Maurice, 53, was arrested on 10/18/2024 for burglary of unoccupied building and unarmed building at 5500 N State Road 7.

Whiters, Laron Jamil. 56, was arrested on October 19, 2024 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without domestic intent.
