Suspect arrested and charged in 2021 Long Beach homeless camp killing

A suspect in the 2021 killing of a man at a Long Beach homeless camp was behind bars Friday on murder and conspiracy charges.

Andrew Reyna, 47, of Lakewood, was arrested Wednesday at a motel in Lynwood, according to Long Beach police.

Reyna is suspected of killing 64-year-old Samuel Villalba on January 10, 2021, who was shot that day around 8:10 p.m. in a homeless camp in the 2300 block of East 68th Street, next to the Artesia (91) Freeway, said the police.
