Bond stands before a man accused of almost stabbing another man on Virginia Street

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge set bail at $1,000 for the man arrested and charged in connection with an assault on Virginia Street earlier this week.

A mobile police officer intervened and stopped the suspect, David Rogers, before he could stab the victim while the two appeared to be fighting.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what led to the fight.

Rogers is charged with second-degree assault. His next court date is in December, according to prison records.
