Former Fresno State men's basketball guard Joseph Hunter has been arrested again

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Action News has learned that former Fresno State men's basketball guard Joseph Hunter has been arrested again.

Jail records show he is now back in custody on four counts, including being a felon in possession of a firearm or drugs.

He is also charged with gang involvement and obstructing an officer.

Hunter made headlines back in May 2023 when he was arrested on four felony charges and one misdemeanor count of possession of an assault weapon – after Fresno police found a semi-automatic rifle.

At this time, no firearms charges have been filed against the athlete.

He was subsequently charged with various charges, including selling or transferring firearms.
