Eminem performs with Barack Obama at a rally in Detroit

Eminem will introduce former President Barack Obama at today's rally in Detroit in support of Kamala Harris, CNN reported Tuesday.

The homegrown hip-hop superstar “will share his thoughts on the presidential campaign,” the station reported, citing someone familiar with the event planning.

The location and time of Obama's rally were not publicly announced.

An Eminem representative did not respond to a Free Press request for comment, and a Harris campaign spokesperson did not confirm the CNN report.

But it looks to be a busy night of music and politics in Detroit: Stevie Wonder – a close friend of the Obamas – will play Little Caesars Arena as part of his Sing Your Song Tour, an 11-city jaunt. the voting sprint in contested states.

And all this just days after rapper Trick Trick, a former collaborator of Eminem's on songs like “Welcome 2 Detroit” and “Detroit vs. Everybody”, took the stage with Donald Trump at Huntington Place to show his support for the former to demonstrate to the president. Eminem and Trick Trick performed together at the Michigan Central Station reopening concert in June.
