Victim dies after violent, high-speed hit-and-run accident in Philadelphia; 4 wanted by the police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A victim died this week after a fiery, high-speed hit-and-run accident over the weekend in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood.

It happened around 7:20 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Richmond and Venango streets.

The video shows a black Dodge Ram traveling at a high rate of speed on Venango Street while a Chevrolet truck was traveling north on Richmond Street.

At that point, the driver of the Dodge ran a red light and struck the Chevrolet, according to police.

Four young people are being sought after an accident in Philadelphia: one is seriously injured and several cars are damaged

The driver of the Chevrolet, whom police identified as 40-year-old Kevin Taylor, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries Thursday. Police say he worked for AutoZone.

Surveillance video shows four teens fleeing the Dodge and jumping into another vehicle. They are still wanted by the police.

Around five to seven unoccupied vehicles were damaged in the accident.
