De'Anthony Melton likely, Steph Curry active for Warriors vs. Jazz

After a dominant and thrilling win over the Portland Trail Blazers in their first game of the 2024-25 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are back in action and staying on the road. They take on the Utah Jazz tonight at 6:30 PM PT.

There was no one on the Dubs' injury report in that first game. There are quite a few names out there today, but luckily there is no bad news.

Here is the full injury report.

warrior

Probably — De'Anthony Melton (right chest contusion)

Melton will certainly want to build on his debut with the Warriors, which was solid but not particularly impressive. Apparently he sustained a minor bruise during the game, but it looks like he'll get through it.

Available — Steph Curry (right hip contusion)
Available — Draymond Green (left knee contusion)
Available — Brandin Podziemski (face mask)

All three will play, and that's a good thing. The fact that they are listed on the injury report – even if they are available – and are not missing indicates that they were listed on previous versions of the injury report even though they were not yet fully eligible to play.

Luckily that has changed because I want to see all three!

jazz

Out of — Isaiah Collier (right hamstring strain)

Collier, the 29th overall pick in June's draft, will have to wait a little longer for his NBA debut. He has been cleared for full play but is not expected to play until November.

Out of — Johnny Juzang (right thumb strain)

Juzang is entering his third season, all with the Jazz, although he has only played 38 games in his career. He is listed as an everyday player but will have to wait until after this game to make his season debut.

Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
