Man, 52, in hospital after police were called about a firearms incident

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital after reports of a firearm being discharged at a property in Glasgow.

Armed police were called to Drumoyne Road in the Govan area at around 4pm on Friday.

Police Scotland said the man's injuries were not life-threatening and it was not believed there was a major risk to the public.

A police spokesman added: “People are advised to avoid the area while investigations continue.”
