Pelion police are searching for driver accused of fatal hit-and-run

Lexington Co., SC (WOLO) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is searching for the driver of a car allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run. According to authorities, the accident occurred on Thursday, October 24, around 7:15 p.m. when highway patrol officials said the driver was traveling south on US 178.

While the car was driving, officers said the person behind the wheel is accused of striking a person walking on the side of Washboard Road, causing fatal injuries. According to authorities, the driver of that car left the scene of the accident.

According to authorities, the driver was in a 2011 to 2013 Chevy Impala that was champagne in color and had possible damage to the front end or driver's side of the vehicle.
