Eight Mile Man Arrested in Kentucky

(WALA) – Kentucky State Police have arrested an Eight Mile man who reportedly led police on a multi-county chase.

According to investigators, it started with a traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Hart County, Kentucky. According to authorities, 26-year-old Jecore King got out of the car, struggled with an officer and then sped away, reaching speeds of up to 130 miles per hour.

After the accident, King allegedly got out of the car with a handgun and ran into a nearby cornfield.

He was arrested after a search that lasted several hours.

King is charged with fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, resisting arrest and wanton endangerment.
