Colerain Avenue is closed following a motorcycle accident and the person is transported by ambulance

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – Colerain Avenue is blocked by Northgate Mall due to an accident between a motorcycle and a vehicle.

According to Hamilton County dispatchers, this happened just after 6 a.m. at Colerain Avenue and Commons Circle.

Traffic cameras in the area show a person being loaded into an ambulance.

The ambulance left the scene shortly afterwards. Dispatchers said they could not confirm whether the motorcyclist was transported to a hospital.

The other vehicle involved in the accident, possibly a Jeep Wrangler, fled the scene, according to initial emergency reports.

Police told dispatchers that they found part of the fleeing vehicle at the scene of the accident. Shortly afterward, police reported that a driver was detained in the 9300 block of Marker Drive, according to initial emergency reports.
