Units respond to two car crash and fire in Destin, one of which is airlifted to the hospital

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. – First responders are at the scene of a serious two-car crash in Destin Friday evening.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of Emerald Coast Pkwy (Hwy 98) and Trista Terrace Ct.

Destin Fire Rescue reported the accident as a vehicle rollover. A vehicle appears to have caught fire. Several people were taken to the Fort Walton Beach emergency room as “trauma alert patients.” One person was flown to Sacred Heart Pensacola.

According to OCSO, all westbound lanes are currently closed.
