Young man dead after being found naked and injured in Hokkaido park

A young man was found collapsed and naked in a park on Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido and was later confirmed dead on Saturday with multiple wounds to his face and body, police said.

The victim, believed to be in her late teens and early 20s, was found lying on a park path by a local resident while walking, police said, adding that the man's clothing and belongings were not found.

The park is located in a residential area near several university campuses in Ebetsu.
