Texas 10 most wanted fugitives arrested, accused of shooting Texas police chief

FORT WORTH, Texas – After nearly a month on the run, one of Teas' most wanted fugitives has been captured.

On Friday, 33-year-old Steh Altman, the subject of a Texas BLUE Alert, was arrested by the Fort Worth Police Department after he allegedly shot and killed a Texas police chief.

Altman allegedly shot Memphis Police Chief Rex Plant when he and another officer tried to arrest him on burglary charges.

At that time, Altman allegedly shot the boss several times before fleeing the scene.

He is charged with attempted murder of a peace officer, assault on a family member, burglary of vehicles, evading arrest or detention and criminal trespass.
