Fatal collision on South Dixie Highway: Lantana woman dies in motorcycle accident

Lantana, FL – A fatal crash on October 25, 2024 resulted in the death of a motorcyclist at the intersection of South Dixie Highway and East Central Boulevard. This was reported by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) Traffic Division. Jose RamirezThe 26-year-old was driving a 1976 Honda Supers Sport southbound on Dixie Highway when his motorcycle collided with a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving Pamela Zimmerman69, of Lake Worth.

According to investigators, Zimmerman attempted to turn left even though a “no left turn” signal was active due to an approaching train. She reportedly crossed into Ramirez's path, resulting in a collision with the front left side of the motorcycle. Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. Zimmerman, who was wearing a seatbelt, was uninjured.

PBSO is asking anyone with further information regarding this incident to contact the Traffic Division as they continue their investigation.
