Residents hospitalized after devastating Halloween gas leak | Soap

Neighbors plan a dramatic gas leak that leaves one resident fearing for his life.

Monday, October 28th

After Holly's psychological evaluation, Susan (Jackie Woodburne) and Karl are concerned about the impact a prison sentence might have on her. The report attributes her distress to a troubled childhood, meaning she grew up without any love or support.

Susan asks if she wants to talk about it, but she pulls away, preferring to consult Felix instead. That night, Holly sneaks out of the house and Karl is deeply worried.

When he arrives on the tram, he finds her cuddled up with Felix sleeping. The couple is startled when he wakes them up and slams the door.

Elsewhere, Vic cannot process Jane's kiss and desire to rekindle their relationship. She gathers Aaron (Matt Wilson), Nicolette (Hannah Monson) and Byron to break the shocking news of the snog – and they're stunned when they see her plant another kiss.

Melanie is devastated to hear about Vic, but hides her pain and gives her blessing.

Meanwhile, Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has returned home from her secret love affair and is stunned to see her newly landscaped – and very bare – front yard. She drunkenly emailed the instructions and the worker followed her every word.

She quickly dismisses Susan's concerns, claiming she's thrilled with the new look and telling her that she had a great time with Piper and Tyler.

Leo (Tim Kano) learns about their escape and the changes in No. 22 and informs Paul (Stefan Dennis), who is worried about his ex-wife…

Tuesday, October 29th

Karl feels like a failed parent when Holly reveals she spent the night with Felix because he helped her deal with panic attacks and the shock of the psychological evaluation.

Paul reluctantly admires his parenting skills and Holly assures him that the report didn't spell out all the great things she loves about him and Izzy.

The Varga-Murphys are thrilled to hear that Cara's (Sara West) fertility is looking good, but when Dex (Marley Williams) overhears them talking about selling their New York trip that they won in the Longest Sleep-in competition won, he suspects it's his. The expensive university course will break the bank.

To finance his own education, he applies for a job at Grease Monkeys and asks Felix for advice before his interview.

After the successful meeting, he spontaneously invites Felix to dinner to celebrate Cara's last day at university. JJ (Riley Bryant) is thrilled to see Nell (Ayisha Salem-Towner) arrive after his mothers reach out to Toadie, but the entire clan is shocked by Dex's guest.

He explains that it's time to let go of their malice, and the night goes smoothly – except for an awkward moment when JJ tells his father that Remi and Cara want to have another baby.

Completely shocked, Felix agrees to be the donor.

Nell returns to Terese's house after dinner, but while she puts on a cheerful facade in front of her stepdaughter, Paul notices a crack in her behavior.

He decides to contact Piper, but Aaron reveals that she was on vacation in Hawaii. Realization hits – Terese has never been to Adelaide.

As Nell lies in bed and has told Terese how proud she is of her, she breaks down and grabs another bottle of wine.

Wednesday, October 30th

The Varga-Murphys are angry about Felix's offer and Remi asserts how inappropriate it was. However, when he explains to Cara how serious he was, it gives her pause.

Andrew is stunned to learn that Felix tried to make amends, but he can't believe he had the courage to donate to them. After a conversation with Remi, he reflects on his brother's change in character and wonders whether he should invite him to stay at No. 26 in Wendy's absence.

Elsewhere, a hungover Terese continues her Adelaide lie to Paul, berating Karl and Susan when she shows up late to an Eirini Rising woodworking class.

Plagued by problems, she breaks down and lets out her anger when Paul confronts her about lies. She makes it clear that he wasn't there when he needed her before and that she will never need him again.

She grabs another drink and stumbles out of the seniors complex – damaging a gas pipe in the process.

Chaos soon ensues, and Gino (Shane McNamara) works to save the residents from danger. Susan tries to contact Terese, but she passes out drunk.

Thursday, October 31st

A local man is rushed to hospital after the leak, while Susan and Karl watch in fear. Paul is supposed to go see Terese and unfortunately finds her drunk.

When she arrives at the station, she lies to Karl and Susan about her absence and explains that she took a strong sleeping pill. She later finds a car that has crashed into the gas meter in Eirini Rising and is determined to find out who did it – not knowing that she is the culprit.

Paul realizes the extent of his ex-wife's drinking and offers to help him cover it up.

Elsewhere, Cara questions Aaron about his donor process with Nicolette and later brings up the topic with Remi.

At the shared house, Sadie wants to go all out for Halloween and throw a huge party to celebrate her short stay there. Byron and Nic tell her they're both working, so she comes up with a brilliant plan to have a sunrise spooktacular during the day.

All of Ramsay Street's residents are on the guest list, and when they realize that Vera (Sally Anne Upton) is likely to complain about the noise, they decide to extend the invitation to her.

During the party, Aaron feels uncomfortable with Rhett's (Liam Maguire) presence and confides in Nic that he lied about why he was at the open house viewing. Later, a drunken Vera suggests that she had so much fun with the shared apartment clan that she should move permanently and become their new roommate.

Byron is horrified, especially when she reveals that Rhett has already sold No. 34 for her in preparation.

Hearing this, Aaron realizes that Rhett lied to protect Vera's trust, and the two men make peace. But what will Byron and Nic do after their loud landlady is homeless?
