UFC 308 is expected to feature one of the best matchups the promotion can do in the main event. Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria plans to defend his title for the first time against former champion and current “BMF” titleholder Max Holloway on Saturday at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Topuria secured the title with a brutal knockout over long-time champion Alexander Volkanovski in February. Topuria is 15-0 in his career with five knockouts and eight submissions. Holloway is now one of the legends of the sport. He faced a who's who of opponents in the Octagon and hopes to regain his title for the first time since losing the belt to Volkanovski in 2019.

With Whittaker he meets a former champion who continues to do his business like a craftsman. Whittaker is 3-1 since losing his rematch with Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title in 2022.
