Ten Iranian border guards were killed in an attack in restive southeastern Iran on Saturday in the latest clash with suspected Sunni Muslim militants, state media reported, according to the Interior Ministry.

The ten were killed in an ambush in an area bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan. It has long been the scene of clashes between Iranian security forces and Sunni militants and drug traffickers.
