How many Primogems are available in the next update?

The amount of Primogems available in Genshin Impact 5.2 has reportedly leaked and is intended to give interested players a better idea of what they can expect in terms of rewards in the next major patch for HoYoverse's action RPG. Version 5.2 is still a few weeks away as the game works through the contents of version 5.1, a patch that added new Archon quests in Natlan and introduced Xilonen as both an NPC and a playable character. The release of Xilonen in Genshin Impact was considered a game-changer thanks to her strong support abilities, which can make different types of team competitions significantly stronger.

Version 5.2 will introduce two new playable characters, Chasca and Ororon. However, unlike version 5.1, it has already been confirmed that the update will not contain any new Natlan-related Archon quests. To compensate, there have been leaks suggesting that three new areas in the Nation of Pyro will be added to the playable map, potentially doubling the current size of Natlan. Based on the leaks so far, players have predicted how many Primogems players could get with the content in version 5.2, and there could be more in stock than Primogems included in it Genshin Impact 5.1.

The update is expected to last until 2025

According to an estimate from the leaker known as Hiragara, players could gain access to thousands of Primogems in version 5.2. The calculation was made in a post tagged “speculation” on Reddit. As shown by the calculation, Players may be able to obtain up to 17,355 Primogems in version 5.2which corresponds to approximately 108 wishes from banners in the gacha system. This calculation takes into account F2P (free-to-play) Primogems obtained through various methods, as well as Primogems obtained from paid sources such as Blessing of the Welkin Moon and the Battle Pass Genshin Impact.

Version 5.2 is scheduled to run from November 20th to January 1st, 2025, if the game sticks to its regular six-week schedule for each update.

According to Hiragara's estimate A total of 11,835 Primogems will be available for free, which corresponds to 74 wishes. The largest sum of these F2P primogems appears to come from daily commissions, events and exploration achievements. As the calculation shows, approximately 2,520 Primogems can be obtained by completing daily commissions during the duration of the patch – this takes into account the possibility that the update lasts the regular six weeks and is no shorter or longer than usual. The leak assumes that events will result in 2,540 Primogems being acquired Genshin Impact 5.2.

The calculation also takes into account the three new leaked Natlan map areas from version 5.2. By exploring these areas, the leak estimates that, for example, around 1,300 Primogems can be acquired between finding secret treasure chests and unlocking teleport waypoints. These new areas should also include new world questsand the estimate is that 760 Primogems will be obtainable through new missions added through the update. The endgame activities Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact 5.2 should also provide 800 Primogems each, for a total of 1,600 Primogems if players can maximize their progress.

The leak assumes that with the new content, 300 Primogems will be available in the form of new achievements that will be added with the patch. With four 5-star characters appearing in the banners during the patch, it is estimated that players will also be able to receive 80 Primogems from the character tests – 40 of them are available in Phase 1, while the final 40 will be unlocked when the Phase 2 banners arrive. Some of the prized Primogems also appear to come from in-game supply systems. The calculation also takes into account 600 Primogems, which compensates for the maintenance period.

5.3 Livestream codes are also taken into account.

Players can also get more Primogems via promo codes in version 5.2. The estimate also takes into account the Intertwined Fates and Acquaint Fate that can be obtained through the monthly reset in Paimon's Shop. This estimate of 11,835 F2P Primogems assumes players do everything available in the patch. For example, if players fail to fully explore the new areas or overcome the final Abyss floor, they will inevitably receive fewer Primogems Genshin Impact 5.2. Still, as previously mentioned, players can significantly increase their Primogem count by taking advantage of some of the game's paid resources.

As shown by the estimate, Players who subscribe to Blessing of the Welkin Moon can receive 3,780 Primogems and an additional 420 Genesis Crystals. This results in 16,035 Primogems from 11,835 Primogems. In terms of wishes, this represents an increase from 74 to 100 wishes from the gacha banners. Of course, players need to ensure that they complete their daily logins without errors, as this would result in fewer Primogems for each missed day. However, this is a huge increase in the number of wishes players can create or save for Natlan characters Genshin Impact.

In addition to the Blessing of the Welkin Moon, Players can also subscribe to the Battle Pass for a total of 1,320 Primogems. This equates to approximately eight Wishes from Banners, meaning players who subscribe to both services will be able to increase their possible total Wishes from 100 to 108 Wishes in version 5.2. Compared to version 5.1, which offered players around 97 wishes – both F2P and through paid resources – players in version 5.2 have a better chance of obtaining the 5-star characters via banners Genshin Impact 5.2.

It's worth noting that this is just an estimate based on leaks. Therefore, the exact number of Primogems may be incorrect or change depending on how HoYoverse plans to distribute its content and whether the patch itself actually lasts six weeks. However, it looks like players are in for plenty of rewards with the upcoming patch, even if there are no new Archon quests. This is the same patch being rolled out Genshin Impact Xbox consoles open up avenues for a whole new community base, and rewards are a great way to attract new players.
