Before his first game as IU football coach in 1973, Lee Corso made a grand entrance when he arrived at Memorial Stadium on a double-decker bus just before kickoff against Illinois.

When Corso was back on campus Saturday to attend ESPN College GameDay, he was back on a double-decker bus. This time he was joined by the team that won the 1979 Holiday Bowl and is in town for its 45th anniversary. This team was the first Hoosiers team to win a bowl game.

Teammates showed off the jersey of QB Tim Clifford, who died earlier this week. Clifford, the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player in 1979, led the Hoosiers to a 38-37 victory over previously undefeated BYU in the Holiday Bowl, rushing for 171 yards and a touchdown.

Corso coached at IU from 1973 to 1982 and compiled a 41-68-2 record with the Hoosiers. It has been a key part of ESPN's flagship pregame show since its launch in 1987.
