Lil Durk is being held without bail in the Broward County Jail.

“All My Life” rapper and founder of the Only the Family collective and record label Lil Durk was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Florida on October 24 on murder-for-hire charges.

According to arrest records, the Chicago artist, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, is being held without bail in the Broward County Jail. In addition to the 32-year-old rapper, five other men from his hip-hop collective “Only the Family” were charged for their involvement in the murder-for-hire conspiracy.

Although the details of the charges against Durk have not yet been made public, he was arrested immediately after the members of his affiliated group were arrested – who were also accused of contract killing for allegedly targeting rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for Durk's murder of the rapper King Von in 2020.

The indictment against the five men includes a long list of charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, “use of interstate facilities to commit murder resulting in death, use of carrying and firing firearms and machine guns, and possession of such firearms in furtherance of murder.” a crime of violence resulting in death, possession of a machine gun and criminal confiscation.”

Arrest records indicate that three OTF members – Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson and Asa Houston – and two other Chicago gang members – Keith Jones and David Brian – retaliated and were allegedly targeted in revenge for the death of their group member became Quando Rondo.

As reported in the charging document, an OTF member referred to as “DB” – believed to represent King Von's real name Dayvon Daquan Bennett – got into a physical altercation with Tyquian Terrel Bowman – known as Quando Rondo – in which DB was fatally injured in 2020 filmed at a nightclub in Atlanta.

After DB's murder, an unnamed member of the OTF is said to have “made it clear in coded language that…” [they would pay] a bounty or financial reward to anyone involved in the killing of TB for their role in the murder of DB.”

The filing continues to allege this in August. On February 18, 2022, the five accused members of the OTF learned that TB was staying at a hotel in LA and traveling from another state to California “to murder TB…”

The next day, Grant, Wilson, Jones, Lindsey and Houston used two different vehicles in California to “locate, pursue and kill TB through gunfire – including with a fully automatic firearm – resulting in the death of SR,” who just a man was a passenger in TB's vehicle at the time of the shooting.

The filing continued: “[the five OTF members and co-conspirators] used facilities of interstate and foreign commerce with the intent to commit tuberculosis murder.”
