Donald Trump's campaign for the 2024 US election has been surrounded by controversy, and now another controversy has emerged as a model named Stacey Williams accused the Republican presidential candidate of groping her, according to a report.

One day in 1993, financier Jeffrey Epstein brought a model named Stacey Williams to Trump Tower in Manhattan to say hello to the building's owner, Donald Trump. While he and Epstein chatted, Trump groped Williams, she said, the NYT News Service reported.

Williams, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, made the allegation this week in an interview with The New York Times and at a Zoom event where several women said they were victims of sexual misconduct by Trump. The women, some of whom had previously publicly voiced their allegations, supported Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

The Times spoke with two of Williams' friends who said she had previously told them about the attack. Trump's campaign denied on Friday that it ever happened, calling the allegations “clearly false” and politically motivated.

Williams is the latest of more than a dozen women to accuse the former president of sexual abuse and misconduct. Last year, for example, a New York jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll, who claimed that Trump raped her in a department store dressing room. Trump was also once caught on tape bragging about attacking women.

At the time of the incident in 1993, Williams was dating Epstein, who was later convicted as a sex offender and killed himself in his prison cell in 2019 after being arrested on federal sex trafficking charges. The two met in 1992 at a party with models and Wall Street types at a restaurant on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Williams said she sat next to Epstein and they discussed politics.

Later in 1992, Williams met Epstein again at a Christmas party Trump was hosting at the Plaza Hotel. Over the next few months a relationship developed.

Williams said Epstein appeared to consider Trump a close friend. “Jeffrey talked about Trump all the time,” she said.

Williams and Epstein often went for walks. Once in 1993, they were strolling down Fifth Avenue and he suggested they stop at Trump Tower to visit Trump. She said they took the elevator to the floor of Trump's office and he greeted her in a waiting area.
