Longtime radio host Jen Myers dies after battling cancer

ST. LOUIS, Missouri (First Alert 4) – Longtime radio host Jen Myers has died after an eight-year battle with breast cancer.

A native of New York, Myers had a 26-year career in radio. During this time, she had stints in Buffalo, Des Monies and finally St. Louis, where she hosted a morning show and was music director at Y98 for 15 years.

“Jen loudly and proudly used her voice and her platform – and, on many occasions, a reserve of energy she should not have been capable of – to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for causes close to her heart, including Pedal the Cause, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation and Pink Ribbon Good, to name a few. When it came to helping others, Jen never said no,” her obituary said.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations in her honor to Pedal the Cause, St. Louis Children's Hospital and Pink Ribbon Girls. They have also set up a GoFundMe account to help offset ongoing expenses for their family.
