Day of the Dead is returning to Mankato this year!

MANKATO, MN – The fifth annual Day of the Dead Celebration, organized by Jennifer and Eduardo Ek, will be held Saturday, October 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Old Town Mankato

The event, which began in 2019, honors Mexican traditions and allows the community to come together to remember loved ones who have passed away. This year's celebration includes a mariachi band, Aztec dancers, various vendors and new attractions such as Mexican Loteria (a bingo game) and large, colorful “Mankato” letters similar to those found in many Mexican cities. The celebration will take place on Riverfront Drive between the 300 and 600 blocks.
