Radio City is the preferred choice for 38% of advertisers: Director Shailesh Gupta

Radio City suffered a net loss of Rs 2 crore in Q2FY25. It reported a net profit of Rs 36.62 lakh in the second quarter of fiscal 2024. The company reported a revenue of Rs 55 crore, growing 4.5% year-on-year.

In its regulatory filing, Radio City said it has maintained its market share at 19%.

“We are proud to be the preferred choice for advertisers. 38% of the industry's customer base choose Radio City and 30% of new customers choose our platform. This reflects the strength of our brand and the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives,” said Shailesh Gupta, Director, Radio City.

Gupta mentioned that a key part of his strategy is to invest in digital initiatives. Significant progress has been made in this area, including the launch of a 24×7 video channel for a radio channel on Jio TV.

“Our digital business achieved a remarkable 33% year-on-year growth, underscoring our focus on creating, distributing and engaging audience content. This growth positions us well as we can adapt to the evolving media landscape,” he said.

Radio City, a part of Music Broadcast Limited (MBL), is a subsidiary of Jagran Prakashan.
