Where can you stream every Friday the 13th movie online?

Following the success of Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th ushered in the '80s by taking the slasher genre to a new, bloodthirsty level. Jason Voorhees first appeared (sort of) to terrify teenagers at a Crystal Lake summer camp, and it's safe to say that the original Friday the 13th is a must-see for any horror fan. 12 films and 11 directors later, the hockey-masked horror villain has turned into a zombie, flown into space and fought another slasher icon.

For those who want to watch or rewatch the films before Halloween or next Friday the 13th in December, you can now stream all Friday the 13th films here.

Over the years, Friday the 13th movies have been difficult to find online. This October, the first eight Friday the 13th films (“the original series,” if you will) finally found a home on Paramount+. The newer films, including the 2009 reboot, are available to stream on Max. All Friday the 13th films can be rented or purchased in digital stores. Unfortunately, this is the only way to get Jason Goes to Hell (maybe that's the best) and Jason X.

Friday the 13th collection [Blu-Ray]

Scream! Factory Friday the 13th Collection [Blu-Ray]

Includes 16 discs with the original films in HD, special features, audio commentary and more.

While the Friday the 13th films can be found everywhere online, Shout!Factory released a collection of all 12 films on Blu-ray back in 2020. The set also includes a ridiculous amount of bonus features. If you don't need the Blu-ray or all of these extras, you can also get a DVD set with the first 8 films for around $20.

In what order should you watch the Friday the 13th movies?

The Friday the 13th franchise, like most 80s slashers, has a lot going on. We're talking spin-offs, reboots, crossovers and some good old time travel. For those interested in the Jason timeline, we've also covered how to watch the Friday the 13th movies in chronological order.

Will there be more Friday the 13th films?

While the 2009 reboot may have been aimed at bringing the series back, a complicated legal drama over franchise rights has since halted production of any new Friday the 13th films. Instead, Friday the 13th: The Game was the biggest release the franchise has seen in the last 15 years and was delisted at the end of 2023 due to further legal issues.

Still, we might finally get the 13th Friday the 13th movie. Earlier this year, Horror, Inc. announced that they would be working with some of the original license holders to build a cross-platform Jason universe. Yes, of course they call it that. While the Jason-verse appears to be starting with a TV show set in Crystal Lake, hopefully we'll see Jason back on the big screen sooner rather than later.
