Watch giant fireballs over Lake Erie in breathtaking videos

A huge fireball meteor streaked across the sky over Lake Erie shortly after sunset on Monday (October 21), videos show.

Witnesses in 10 states from Michigan to North Carolina reported spotting the blazing meteor around 7 p.m. ET. So far that is American Meteor Society (AMS) has received 534 reports of the fiery space rock. Experts estimated the meteor's trajectory and determined it likely ended just off the coast of Erie, Pennsylvania.
