Is it worth ditching Baker Mayfield without his top two targets? | Fantasy Football Live

Yahoo Sports fantasy analyst Andy Behrens shares his prediction for the Buccaneers quarterback with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both out.

Video transcript

Andy Barons, but I'm saying here that Baker Mayfield believes or believes with this version of Tampa Bay.

Yes, I already regret that.

I reported Baker Mayfield for this.

Um, because I love the season he's having right now.

I felt like I was one of Baker Mayfield's early supporters in Tampa last year too.

Um, he was a pillar of my super flex plan at the start of this season and it went so well.

He leads the league in touchdown passes, sets career-highs across the board, 70% of his throws, but there isn't a single quarterback in the game who could maintain his fantasy value after losing two receivers like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Right?

Um, and the Bucks say a lot of the right things about believing in Jalen McMillan and Trey Palmer and we're going to put them in a position to be successful, etc., but you just lost two guys that played at the pro level.

Um, Mike Evans will be inducted into the Hall of Fame one day.

Uh, he's out for a month.

Chris Godwin is out this year.

We simply cannot adequately replace her with Kate Otton and a host of supporting receivers.

Uh, for me, Baker Mayfield, this current reception room moves from a belief side to the make believe side of the ledger.

And I think, I think in a one-quarterback league, he's just a drop right now.
