A return of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (head) against the Jets is questionable

It's questionable whether New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye will return to Sunday's game against the Jets after leaving the game with a head injury.

Maye went to the locker room while the Patriots offense was off the field early in the second quarter. During the previous drive, which ended in a Patriots punt, Maye was slow to get back to his feet after an 18-yard scramble late in the first quarter.

The rookie stayed in the game after his first-down run, handed the ball over twice (the first time being negated by a penalty), took a sack and threw an incompletion on third down before the Patriots put the ball away.

Jacoby Brissett came on for Maye on the Patriots' next possession midway through the second quarter. The Jets were 13-7 when Maye was listed as questionable to return.

Maye opened the scoring Sunday in Foxborough with a 17-yard touchdown run, ending New England's second drive of the game. He was 3 of 6 passing for 23 yards and managed 46 rushing yards before exiting early.
